Busy as a Bee

This week has been so crazy busy. Trying to get everything done before I have to go back to work in three days has been hard. The fact that I'm nesting doesn't help :) It will all get done in time though. I'm so excited to see my school family this upcoming week! Here's a peek at what was a busy crazy week :)

Liam and Daddy on his new trampoline. Driving this across town in the back of a truck was scary. Never again :)

Liam and his sweet cousins building a train track. He loves playing with them.

Free tea day at my biggest craving. Best tea ever!

Lunch date with the best sister! She is finally back in Georgia and only an hour away. It's the closet we've ever been :)

Starting Liam's big boy room! Still not all the way done but so close.

Hubby work event. Can you count two bowling balls?

Liam at the water park. He had soooo much fun!

One more :)

Here's hopefully to a calmer yet fun week ahead!

20 Weeks

Halfway There!

Sorry that I'm lagging on here. A little behind. Life has gotten so busy this week but will post about this week soon :)

How far along? 20 weeks! I can't believe I'm halfway there!
Total weight gain/loss: 12 lbs.
Maternity clothes? When I go out I will wear maternity pieces but when I'm just lounging around its non-maternity clothes. In the picture above, I am wearing colored skinnies from Motherhood Maternity and a maternity top from Target.
Sleep: so so. It's getting hard to flip from side to side now.
Best moment this week: Seeing my sister! She has moved back to Georgia and I'm so excited! Also, taking Liam to the water park today :)
Miss Anything? Energy still. I get so tired quickly. Other than that nothing :)
Movement: Yes! I look forward to it being more regular which I know will be soon as he continues to grow.
Food cravings: McCalisters, Chinese, and wings.
Have you started to show yet: oh yes!
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: sore back and stomach!
Belly Button in or out? flatty
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose.
Happy or Moody: Kind of moody. School is about to start back next week and I'm getting anxious thinking about all the things I still need to do that haven't gotten done over summer break.
Looking forward to: Finishing up Liam's big boy room. That's one of the main reasons I've been so busy. Also, seeing my work family on Tuesday!!

21 Weeks

How far along? 21 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 14lbs
Maternity clothes? I'm always in my maternity jeans seen above! They were the first maternity clothing item I bought and I'm surprised they still fit!
Sleep: Still pretty crappy. I wake up every time I flip over and can't really get comfortable on my sides. I started sleeping at more of a sitting up position but my neck and shoulders get sore from that. Still need to order a pregnancy pillow!!! Also, my hands have been falling asleep at night and I'm hoping its from how awkwardly I'm sleeping and not Diabetes related.
Best moment this week: I went to a Revival with my Dad, Uncle and Aunt this week and it was such a blessing. It was at an old WWII camp ground with old bunk houses and an open area for worshiping. Afterward, we had homemade ice cream and boiled peanuts (they must have known I was coming - perfect pregnancy foods). Such a fun night!
Miss Anything? I miss cold weather every time is step outside. It's usually hot this time of year but Lord help me, it's hotter when your pregnant!!!
Movement: This is part of my best moment of the week also! I am so excited about all the movement I've felt! Olivia usually kicks me when I lay down at night but I've heard that's normal. I can't wait to feel harder kicks and more frequent kicks.
Food cravings: I never really crave anything. I liked eating wings last week and I have started eating a lot of dill pickles (stereotype is true!) I still like eating a lot of fried foods, mainly french fries. Nothing weird yet.
Have you started to show yet: Yep! Getting rounder everyday.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Symptoms: SWELLING! My feet have started to swell. I've been on my feet in the heat the past few days so I know it's definitely going to happen. I guess I didn't expect it so soon! First time mommy-to-be knows nothing HA.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off? Off when I come in from outside. So much swelling in the South Georgia heat.
Happy or Moody: Happy. Always happy!
Looking forward to: Being off next week. Robbie and I took off Wednesday through Sunday. It's going to be awesome to do nothing or do whatever we want to do!!!!

Play Date

Well I'd like to say that our momma son play date day was wonderful but then that would be silly ;) We did have a few good moments here and there but overall it was a learning experience while juggling terrible twos, teething, and the South Georgia heat.

We started off the morning going to the park which Liam normally loves. However, when we got there all he wanted was for me to hold him. Every time I tried to put him down it got worse and let me tell you this little one is heavy. I swear they are lying when they say he is only in the 30th percentile for weight. I can't imagine carrying even a 32% toddler. So we called it quits and headed home. We watched a little Mickey before taking our nap in our toddler bed for the first time. The fact that he was so tired and already irritable didn't help. However, after playing with his hair he was out in less than 5 minutes. As I walked out of his room, I couldn't help but tear up a little at how much he has grown. I snapped a couple pictures so I could send them to Rhett.

After our nap, Liam decided he wanted to go outside for a walk. As soon as we stepped out of the door he told me that it was hot and wanted me to hold him. Taking a walk during the heat of the day in South Georgia while holding a toddler...um no. So with many tears from Liam we came back inside. Did I mention he is extremely heavy?

A little later we went to Georgia Southern to visit the raptor center so Liam could walk around and see the birds of prey then watch the raptor show. Sadly we realized after walking the whole trail that there were no birds out at all. I thought that maybe they were inside for the show but little did I know, there aren't birds out there in the summer. Liam did get to climb inside the life size eagle nest....so tiny in comparison.

After less than 8 minutes we were hot and sweaty so we ventured back in to wait for the raptor show. He did love looking at the mini aquarium of fish and turtles.
After waiting about 8 minutes for the doors to open to start the show we went in and waited about 10 more minutes. It's really hard for this two year old to sit still that long but he did a great job. He only had enough patience for 3 of the 7 creatures before he yelled bye bye. Considering he waited almost 20 mins before the show, I'd say he did fairly well. He loved when the man would come by and show him the creatures up close. He even pet a fat desert lizard. Overall it was an okay date day but I can definitely tell you that I look forward to fall with cooler temperatures. A lot of today would have been better had it been cooler outside. Soon though. Soon :)

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 12 lbs.
Maternity clothes? When I go out I will wear maternity pieces but when I'm just lounging around its non-maternity clothes. In the picture above, I am wearing colored skinnies from motherhood maternity and a regular top.
Sleep: Not too bad, but I reallllly (did you understand how much just then?) miss sleeping on my stomach. My body subconsciously tries in the night to flip over but my stomach now prevents it from happening.
Best moment this week: Finally figuring out how I want to do Landon's nursery. It's almost embarrassing how many times I changed my mind. It was also great moving everything out of his soon to be room. I am so grateful for my in law's help moving it all. Of course Rhett's as well :)
Miss Anything? Energy the last couple of days. I have felt first trimester tired the last few days. Hoping to snap out of it soon.
Movement: Most definitely! And I can confirm what I thought I had been feeling the last two weeks was Landon. I absolutely love feeling him move. Unfortunately I hated being pregnant last time with Liam. I was so insecure about so many things that I could never enjoy it. However, I can say that the movements last time were my favorite. That was the only thing I missed after Liam was born. Luckily I can say that I enjoy this pregnancy along with the movements.
Food cravings: Are you ready? Wings, sandwiches (mainly McCalisters because I crave their sweet tea as well), McDonald's fries with ketchup, peanut butter toast with bananas, and as of a few hours ago...Chinese. Yes, I know....WOW ;-)
Have you started to show yet: Yes. I feel like I all of sudden look 30 weeks pregnant.
Labor Signs: No, thank goodness.
Symptoms: None at all and I'm grateful!
Belly Button in or out? In-betweeny?
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose.
Happy or Moody: Happy mainly but with an occasional mood swing, but overall happy.
Looking forward to: My play date with Liam tomorrow. As excited as I am about Landon's arrival, it's hard to think about not being able to do things whenever I want with just Liam. Trying to savor all of the Liam moments while I can. Will hopefully post about our date soon.

Yum :)

20 Week Appointment

Yesterday, I had my 20 week appointment. I didn't get an ultrasound which bummed us out but it was nice to hear, once again, how good we are doing! My OB was pleased with my Perinatology appointment and read off the list of things they want me to do in the coming weeks. I had to get some blood drawn yesterday and for some reason, I can't remember why they did that :/ *Pregnancy Brain is no joke* I've got to have an EKG just to make sure my heart is working properly. I've got to do a 24-hour urine test. Gross. They are checking the protein in my urine *Diabetes thing* They will be checking my kidneys eventually just to make sure they are still functioning properly also. My next appointment isn't until August 6th, so this will be the longest I've gone without seeing a doctor so far! My dad works at a college in town that has a sonographer program so I miiiiiight see if he can sneak me in for a free ultrasound (just kidding). I'll have gone 6 weeks without seeing Olivia and that just feels weird to me!
Also, starting at 28 weeks I'll start going in every week for an ultrasound and get a rating on a scale of 1-8 of how Olivia is doing/developing. They want us to score 8s every time and they said it isn't hard to get perfect scores so fingers crossed!
WE ARE HALFWAY THERE!!!

Landon's Anatomy Scan

My morning was made more than once...happy sigh. I was excited that Rhett got to come see Landon today! With Liam, Rhett was back in school full time and we were able to work it out for him to come to all of the doctors appointments and ultrasounds with me. This time Rhett is working full time so today was his first time meeting Landon. I could tell he loved it as much as he did with Liam's ultrasounds which melted my heart. Landon's anatomy scan showed he was 100% healthy! Always a big sigh of relief. He is growing right on target. According to the doctor's calculations he is suppose to be 18 weeks 6 days and he measured right down to the exact day. He weighed in at 9 ounces which is healthy and so exciting! We got to see him suck his thumb, see his fast beating heart, see his thick, fat feet like his brother's, and watch him kick. It's always so strange to watch them kick and not feel it. I have been feeling a kick every now and then but I found out why its not been as frequent. Just like with Liam, Landon's placenta is in the front of my stomach which provides padding for his movements. That explains why I didn't feel him any sooner like I was told I would. I think I'm grateful for the anterior placenta though :) Landon apparently moves a ton! He never stopped moving today. Lots of kicks and rolls. We got to have a quick 4D glance at him today which was so exciting. She warned me that he would look like a skeleton because he wasn't very plump (and he did appear slightly alien at times especially when he opened his eyes) but we got some sweet super normal shots of him. My favorite thing today though was actually seeing him smile twice.....heart melted.

His leg and thick foot.

Smooshing his face into the placenta and that little arm and hand :)

His sweet face :)

It was so sweet because he apparently was tired at the end of the ultrasound. In 4D he rolled over on his side and used the placenta as a pillow. So tender. I met with Dr. Oldham after the ultrasound and he said everything looked great. He is referring me to a respiratory doctor, the same one who saw me for my asthma the day after I delivered Liam (Asthma story on my 18 week update post) for the asthma. It got way better with the inhaler he prescribed but after two days of not using it, I was back coughing again. He doesn't want me to have to take a rescue inhaler everyday for the rest of my pregnancy which I agree with big time since I'm not big on taking medicine ever, even when not pregnant. We are hoping this Dr will be able to come up with a safe solution. Other than that little annoyance with my lungs I am also healthy. I am grateful that God is watching over Landon and I during this pregnancy.

4th of July

Get ready for a photo explosion. I enjoyed watching Liam so much, especially during fireworks!

Chilling in our 4th outfit.

Little firecracker.

So grateful for those who fought/fight for our country so I can play with my little one.

Last 4th of July as a family of three!

Fireworks time with our firework popsicle! He loved watching the fireworks from daddy's lap!!! He shouted Tinker, Sparkle and Whoa a lot :)

19 Weeks

How far along: 19 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Won't know until my appointment next Monday. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I've gained 2 or 3 more. Waaaaahhh!
Maternity clothes: I love all my maternity clothes so much! I probably wear maternity pants everyday and I'm getting to where I live in tank tops and kimonos as you can see above :)
Stretch marks: Just the same new ones from 2 weeks ago. I can only imagine, if I'm getting them this early, how many more there will be at the end.
Sleep: I looked at pregnancy pillows today. I've got to do something to get some relief. I can't help but toss all night and in our queen size bed I always seem to bump Robbie.
Best moment of the week: Spending time with my husband. I love our lazy days and yesterday afternoon was really nice. Gotta get as many of these in as I can before Olivia gives us un-lazy days!
Miss anything: I honestly miss not being able to work for longs periods of time. We started painting our extra bedroom to get it ready to be a nursery and I was trying so hard to help and had to keep sitting down and resting. I also can't stay outside with our dogs for very long and play. Makes me sad.
Movement: Nothing yet.
Food cravings: Still just fried food. I thought I wanted a salad today and it made me sick. Bleh.
Anything make you sick: Just random foods and my low blood glucose levels sometimes.
Have you started to show: It's gotta be quadruplets right?!?!?!?
Labor signs: No.
Belly button in or out: In.
Wedding ring: On, except at night.
Happy or moody: I'm really, really happy. It all seems almost too perfect because I've heard horror stories of how moods can change at any given moment!
Looking forward to: My appointment next Monday. I had such a good visit with my Perinatologist last week and I can't wait to see what my OB has to say about it!

18 Weeks

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Haven't weighed in, but will find out when I go to the doctor on Wednesday. So far I'm doing so much better with weight gain this pregnancy than with Liam.
Maternity clothes? Half and half like in this picture. Maternity shorts and pants most of the time with one of my pre-pregnancy shirts.
Sleep: Not too bad. Still having to get up once or twice a night to pee. Not looking forward to when it's two to four times a night. Also, I was able to sleep on my stomach until about two days ago. Now, it just isn't happening. I'm really going to miss stomach sleeping for the next four months.
Best moment this week: Watching Liam watch the fireworks. You can see videos of it on my instragram. It seriously was so precious. Tinker! Sparkle! Cool! Whoa!
Movement: I think I felt a kick in church this morning. I'm ready for them to be consistent so I can confirm this is what I'm feeling.
Food cravings: just satisfied a doughnut craving at 10:30 tonight.
Have you started to show yet: Oh yes. When it pops, it pops.
Labor Signs: nadda
Symptomspregnancy induced asthma. AWFUL! With Liam, my last month and a half of pregnancy I developed this dry cough. I coughed anytime I took a deep breath or laughed. After delivery my obgyn had a respiratory doctor come in and evaluate it. He said it was asthma. When I told him I didn't have asthma and had never had it, he told me that pregnancy can cause or trigger it. He put me on two inhalers and cough medicine. Within two weeks it was almost gone and it was gone completely after a month. About ten days ago, I came down with a simple cold and cough. Well the cold went away after three days but the coughing...not so much. I made an appointment to see my obgyn and he asked me if I ever had asthma. I of course didn't expect him to remember with as many patients as he's sees and the fact that it's been almost three years. He told me that he thought I had pregnancy induced asthma. I was prescribed an inhaler again. After taking it about a week now I feel sooo much better. I went online and researched preggo induced asthma and found something interesting...untreated asthma in pregnancy can lead to preeclampsia. Well, that's what I had the last month and a half with Liam..makes sense. Really glad I know about this now and am taking care of it.
Belly Button in or out? Inny
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose.
Happy or Moody: Very emotional/moody. Rhett is I'm so ready to feel like myself again.
Looking forward to: Landon's anatomy scan appointment on Wednesday. It feels like it's been forever since I've seen him.

Nesting already!

Robbie and I decided to go to Lowes on my lunch break today since we started cleaning our extra bedroom this past weekend. I've had our color scheme for Olivia's room picked out for a while now and it's so exciting to actually go and look at colors. It was so easy! Our eyes found exactly what we wanted! My Pinterest is full of my ideas and I love seeing them come to life and it's also awesome that my husband loves the colors too :)
